Silver Lining, Kurt Woerpel
“It’s so over / We’re so Back.”
Equal parts ambient dread and slice of life, SILVER LINING draws from observational encounters in New York City parks, a long summer binge watching movies, and the push-and-pull cycle of optimism and doom. Rather than forming a linear story the panels are meant to be isolated in pairs to form ambient third-person-hyper-limited vignettes.
The original body of work of oversized machine-arm-and-hand-drawn prints were shown at Heavy Manners Library in LA in September of 2024 in a gridded format and later sequenced into this zine. Printed in Risograph Black and Mist inks.
